Donbass Combatant Buried near Brest, Southwestern Belarus

Some hundred people bade a final farewell in Brest on September 3 to Alyaksandr Charkashyn, a Belarusian who died last week in Ukraine.

33-year-old Alyaksandr Charkashyn was wounded in a battle at the village of Bilokamenka in Donbass and died in a hospital in Zaporizhzhya after spending several weeks in coma. He fought against pro-Russian separatists with the tactical group «Belarus» within the «Right Sector» Ukrainian Voluntary Corps. His body was buried in a village cemetery near Brest.

Apart from the family, the funeral was attended by several dozens of opposition activists from Brest and Minsk.
